Privacy Policy for Receiptio

Thank you for using Receiptio (“the app”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Summary

• Receiptio stores all of your data on your device.
• We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal information.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking of any kind.
• The app does not require an account and does not connect to any server operated by us.

Information the App Accesses

Receiptio requests the following permissions only when you use the related feature. Data captured through these permissions is processed on your device and stored locally.

• Camera – used to scan physical receipts. Images are processed on-device using Apple’s Vision framework. Photos are not uploaded anywhere.
• Photo Library – used only if you choose to import an existing receipt image from your library. The app reads only the image you select.
• Microphone – used to capture your voice when you use the voice entry feature.
• Speech Recognition – used to convert your spoken input into text so you can quickly add a receipt. Apple’s Speech framework performs recognition; please see Apple’s privacy documentation for details on how Apple handles speech data.

How Your Data Is Stored

• Receipt records, categories, budgets, and settings are saved locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and the app’s sandbox).
• The app does not sync data to any server operated by us.

Backups

Receiptio includes a manual backup feature that exports your data as a .json file. You choose where to save this file (for example, the Files app, iCloud Drive, or email). Once exported, the file is under your control and is subject to the privacy terms of whichever service you use to store or share it.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with any third parties. No data leaves your device except when you explicitly export a backup or share content using standard iOS share features.

Children’s Privacy

Receiptio does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app functions entirely offline and does not gather data.

Your Choices

You can revoke camera, microphone, photo library, or speech recognition permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security on your iPhone or iPad. You can also delete all app data by uninstalling the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
